Leon Matthews
Leon Matthews has been reviewing games and articles for AVForums since 2010. He has an unhealthy addiction to First Person Shooters, Sci-Fi and the Walking Dead. Weaknesses include a severe allergy to the Dual Shock 3 controller, every "Youtube personality" in existence and polystyrene. Often pigeon-holed as the "shooter guy" but enjoys many games ranging from Call of Duty to Titanfall.
Leon got into games when his parents bought him a Master System II with only the built in game Alex Kidd in Miracle World to play. After realising it was a hobby he wouldn't get bored of (being glued to it), his parents allowed him to get other games like Michael Jackson: Moonwalker, Streets of Rage and every Sega child's staple, Sonic the Hedgehog. Then Doom came out and the rest; as they say; is history.
When he's not reviewing you'll usually find him practising the same 5 songs on guitar badly, breaking up fights on the gaming forums or making people rage quit on Xbox Live.
Her story is a smartly constructed game of narrative discovery; cleverly wearing it's pop culture influences like the Serial podcast and HBO's True Detective on its sleeve while giving you control over how you uncover the winding plot
The beauty of Mortal Kombat X is that it acknowledges all the barriers of entry inherent to the genre and fills the learning curve with fun activities for the novice player to occupy themselves with rather then getting demoralised by on-line play instantly

An indie game that takes the endless runner concept and weaves in some sci-fi and fantasy elements.
The latest Battlefield steps away from war zones and dons some cops and robbers outfits, but is it enough?

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 Xbox One Review
by Leon Matthews
Once again the Revelations off shoot continues to impress me; navigating the divide between old and new very well, combining some light stealth action with decent gameplay which is well paced through out the short episodes.
Metro series manages to boll boilerplate elements together with some smart mechanics and saturates it with a thick sombre atmosphere which pulls you along its linear tracks.
Gamescom 2014 is almost upon us. While E3 remains the main draw for major announcements and reveals; Gamescom has become the largest gaming convention in Europe.
Sniper Elite III's core mechanics are solid, the X-Ray kills are definitely a gimmick; but turn out to be a fun one which is underpinned by some enjoyable stealth game play.
