Panasonic TX-40CX802B User Review

  • Plugman
Probably the best 40" TV around
Review of Panasonic TX-40CX802B tv by Plugman, Jan 17, 2016.
Beautiful TV. Very good picture but not perfect. Slight banding and backlight bleed noticeable at odd times on Cricket, Football. Good sound from TV but a soundbar still improves things. Lovely weighted remote. Best used with all digital trickery off. Good on motion without using Intelligent Frame Creation. IFC at min introduces noticeable judder and strange jerky movement, Medium and High work best but you do then have the Soap Opera Effect. Stand is the width of the TV so will have issues with Soundbases. TV leans back. All of these issues are minor and easily solves. Remote is backlit - a nice touch. Plenty of adjustments but out of the box is pretty accurate. 3D picture not tested. Only 3HDMI's which is a bit tight. Genuine Panasonic not Vestel Clone. Apps work well and quad core processor helps with speedy response. Freeview play works well if you like that type of thing as does 4k which gives a spectacular picture.
