Not just a replacement, but an upgrade
Review of Denon AVR-X3300W AV Receiver by bucket99, Apr 4, 2017.
My (roughly) ten-year-old Yamaha RX-V2600 died a couple of weeks ago, refusing to switch on. That felt like an opportunity to upgrade, and that's certainly how things have turned out. 10 years is a long time in AV tech, so it's great to get network connectivity, USB integration, loads of HDMI connections, easy bi-amping (so I can continue to use my Audiolab 8000S for stereo duties and bi-wiring), ARC, 4K support and many other features I haven't tried yet. It's early days, but at the moment I'm very happy with my decision. Even the first firmware upgrade went smoothly!
This item was purchased for £600 from Richer Sounds in 2017. The reviewer still owns this product.

    Pros

    • Calibration was a doddle, once I'd figured out that my surround speakers were not 'surround back' speakers, like they were when 5.1 was the only game in town. :-)
    • Great range of connectivity options.
    • 'Info' button displays a graphic showing which channels are being fed by the current source, and which speakers are being sent a signal.

    Cons

    • Lifting it onto the top shelf required quite an effort!
