Love it, love it, like it, love it...
Review of Panasonic TX-55AX902 LED LCD TV by Malx77, May 25, 2018.
I love this TV - wait, I did love it but I've just experienced my second fault. (All explained below if you're interested).

But first the good: Following some great threads on here I found the optimum settings for setup and the picture quality is truly stunning. Some reviewers question whether you can really notice the difference between 4K and HD - with this TV the contrast between the two is really stark. I had no audio lag when set up with my Sky Q box and Yamaha amp. Although not a great fan of 3D I have a few 3D Blueray discs and the quality on playback is excellent. Generally the Blueray upscaling is good although as more and more 4K discs become available I'll probably invest in a 4K player.

My experience with the overall quality of the picture means I would again look at Panasonic in the future although I'll look more closely into servicing and potential service issues next time around.

[Now for the not so good: The first problem I experienced was over a year ago when I started getting dark blotches on the screen They just made areas of the screen darker (some friends only noticed after if pointed it out). A company that services Panasonic TV's came to my home and swapped out the screen and since then it has worked perfectly. Until last week. Then, when I switched the TV on with the remote it would flash on, flash off, flash on, flash off, fla... you get the picture (although I didn't). The engineer came (coincidentally he was one of the 2 guys who swapped my screen out), ran some tests and determined the screen was fine, so he took out the main processing board and I figured he'd put in a new one like he did with the screen. Nope. Apparently Panasonic want the boards sent back for testing and repair and I was told it could take as long as SIX WEEKS! and this with the (4K) World Cup around the corner. And no, Panasonic didn't see any need to supply a temporary replacement Fortunately Richer Sounds being, well, Richer Sounds stepped up and gave me a replacement (albeit a 36 inch Sony) which I'm grateful for.
This item was purchased for £1849 from Richer Sounds in 2015. The reviewer still owns this product.
