I purchased the AVR-X3300W recently as an upgrade from the excellent AVR-X1200W. I have had it hooked up for a few days now and my initial thoughts go something like this:
WOW! The depth and clarity in sound this thing produces brings both films and music to life like i've never heard before.
I have it connected to a set of Wharfedale Diamond 230's for the front, 220's for the rear, 220c for the center and a BK P12-300SB sub.
As I havn't owned it for long, I can only give initial thoughts which I have outlined below:

- Set up procedure was quick and easy, the audyssey EQ completed quickly and produced excellent results. Sound is very articulate and clear, whilst still packing a good punch.
- 4k HDR passthrough works flawlessly, the latest HDMI and HDCP standards are fully supported on all HDMI ports.
- The on screen menu navigation is quicker and more fluid than the X1200W.
- Streaming via spotify connect or FLAC from my Foobar2000 PC works as expected.
- Sound in films is by far the most detailed and exciting I have ever heard. Its not just loud, its very dynamic and precise.
- Playing back music in stereo is a pleasure. So much so that this will now become my main music player.
