    Dispointing TV
Review of Samsung UE42F5000 LED LCD TV by zamine, Dec 31, 2014.
i have this tv since 6 months

The picture looks beautiful with HD bright contents but there is some problems:

1- With an HDMI connection ( satellite receiver, or HD box for exemple) , with default setting, the picture and colors are too clear so i should decrease gamma, setting black level to "darkest" or use hdmi black level to low, (brightness, contrast and backlight setting aren't sufficient) but after this the black in picture will crush, colored areas will looks great but very dark area will look completely black so the picture will look strange and unnatural and the shadow detail will be completely ruined.

2- The black level is really medium if not poor, so viewing films or series with darks scene on a dimmed room is annoying.

3- The SD picture is too soft, so a good Full HD external scaler is suitable.

finally, this tv i'm not pleased with this tv and for me it's not suited for a modest home theater use.
