I was looking for way to get digital files from my laptop into my Quad 44 without using the poor quality built-in headphone socket - along came Audioquest Dragonfly Red. My systems has never looked back since and now I am able to enjoy using iTunes to play all my digital media and still have the option to use all the older sources - vinyl and FM radio.
I have conducted extensive tests on all types of music and in my opinion the Dragonfly Red represents extremely excellent value for money - my main genre of music leans towards classical, organ and some jazz - playing the 1975 vinyl version of Antiphone Blues by Arne Domnerus and Gustaf Sjokvist in comparison to the digital version reveals that the Dragonfly Red retains the ambiance of the original recording in amazing detail affording the opportunity to listen to the music and not the equipment.
If you are upgrading an older system then the Dragonfly Red is a no brainer value for money purchase.
