I had the 49" version of this tv and wasn't quite large enough (am a PS4 fan) so I sold it and purchased the 55". To me I think for the cost (£1300) this is a very good tv, I remember a few years ago paying a lot more than that for a 720P 37" set - how things have changed!! I love the versatile inputs including 1 arc enabled which is critical to me and also the built in freesat tuner works very well - once you've got it tuned in which is a bit of a faff. The in built recording works well and I just use a 128 GB memory stick -Still can't get used to modern tech as am 46 so remember the days of vhs / betamax etc. I do worry about how long the led backlight will last but is not that concerning as I'll just buy another (Sony) if it dies and does come with a 5 year warranty. The 4K performance is to me excellent - am sure there are those that will say is not that good but is certainly good enough for me. I used to use a video projector with an r f input so believe me, it looks damn good to me! Yes the menus are a bit slow and confusing but all in all, an excellent televison, the sound quality of the inbuilt speakers isn't brilliant but better than some and I wold think most people would use this with a decent surround system anyway.
I'll definitely buy another Sony when I upgrade to 65" which am hoping to soon.
