I bought the NAD DAC 2 to stream music from my Mac to my 30 year old Bang and Olufsen system 5500 and the sound quality is truly astounding!
Gone is the cable that ran across the floor under the rug making an unsightly ridge.. also absent is the slight earth loop hum the USB cable used to generate at higher volumes.
I used my tape recorder to record some music from Spotify I already own on CD and switched between tape player, CD player and the NAD from the mac and all sound identical.
I am completely satisfied with this really neat solution to playing digital signal through my analogue stereo system.
I have recommended the device to some of my more demanding audiophile friends and to a man they all agree that this is a really cool device, and add that to the fact is is priced very reasonably it makes this little box of tricks a must have for anyone that wants to hear their music in HiFi.
Well done NAD yet again you hit the nail on the head.
