Spectre tries hard to match the superb Casino Royale but fails to even match Skyfall.
The film has nothing particularly wrong with the movie, it's enjoyable entertainment but doesn't quite have the overall quality of Casino and Skyfall.
It's all over the place with what it wants to be; Serious Bond? Bourne Copy? Gritty Actioner or Lighthearted Moore style?
It's too long, and Bond basically isn't very heroic, nor as my wife complained he's doesn't take his shirt off or where his Budgie Smugglers.
A very poor villain, some weak CGI, some moments that are totally random, and a weak overall plot arc that tries hard to shoehorn in the last three films don't help.
Ultimately Spectre is currently for me third in the Craig series to-date:
1. Casino Royale
2. Skyfall
3. Spectre
4. Quantum Of Solace
