I've downloaded Zoom Player, but I believe you need to already have other software players on your PC before you can use the Zoom Player

...so my question is, is it possible to download or share only the filters from different players, or do you have to install the whole shabang?

As far as I know you will need to install the complete player.

When you go and register filters, it searches for either a .dll or a .ax file on your hard disk. I'm just wondering whjat would happen if you got hold of the certain dll or ax that you need, whether it would work or not!

One way to test would be if someone with CinePlayer v4 could find this file dscinemvideodecoder.dll and make it available, then we could try to see if that's all is needed. Instead of having to install the whole program of each player!

The decoders are available directly from Ravisent for $14 as part of the XP decoder pack.
