    Hi Everyone,

    I have got a Denon AVR X2000 av receiver. This is hooked up to the Jamo A102 satellite speaker package in Zone 1.

    Zone 2 I currently have a couple of cheap Sony speakers from an old 90's HiFi unit. They are 6 ohm.

    The Zone 2 sound drastically lacks bass. The speakers are,
    - on their sides
    - above kitchen cabinets;
    - have limited ceiling space above, as the ceiling slopes in; and
    - are partly obscured due to coving around the top of the cabinets.

    What bookshelf speakers would you recommend that would be a tighter sound and in partucular have more bass?

    Thanks very much
    R

    Given the room probably has lots of hard surfaces and the hugely compromised position of the speakers I can not see any speaker giving a good balanced sound to be honest. You could try something like the Monitor Audio MR1 from Richer Sounds which may improve things.
