Should I wait (which could be a long time) for the eagerly awaited 2 disc R1 copy of Zombi 2 from Shriek Show, featuring a new print taken of the original negatives, remastered soundtrack, a fistful of extras (including Gianetto De Rossi interview)

    OR!

buy the Italian shock release that is at present the best DVD copy in existence.

    OR!

content myself with my ROAN Group Laser Disc copy, and stop upgrading?

Hold on to your laser for now.
The Shriek Show disc, if done right, will be the (un)holy grail of many a Zombi 2 fan.

If you did get the Italian Shock disc, when the SS one appears you'll only end up buying it again.

I hear Shriek Show have an extended print of the film, the longest in existence.... how true that is will become evident should they ever decide to release it:rolleyes:

    Patience is a virtue;)

Yes a few of there dvds have been screwed up - wrong framing Werewolf woman (might be getting re done so a postal replacement will be done) Hitcher in the dark also badly framed.
For some screen shots see here (Scroll down - Warning Some strong images on this site ADULTS only)http://www.midnight1.com/mv_news.asp A nice note on the site from the Head man at Shriek show does explain some of the problems.
Zombi 3 has some gore scenes taken from a poor vhs? print the drop in quality is really bad - vipco's print is much better. etc
