ie. this and this I haven't seen the film before, buying on a hunch. It looks good! Anyone seen it?
A classic that I have and you don't . But you knew that right? Since you were on my site today Nice to see I inspired the great Gorshin to take a chance on a movie he's not seen
Seems strange though that such a movie buff has never heard of this before...mmmmmmmm
it's not exactly well known is it? Have to do some serious research to dig up these films.
LOL not well known??? You're kidding right???
Dude, this is a classic of the genre and it's sacrilege to say such a thing
Never heard of it till today. It's not really rated very highly on imdb.
LOL. Man you need help!
If you're a fan of horror, or more important the work of Lucio Fulci (I have most of his movies on VHS, only a few on DVD) then this is a must have. If you're not. Well you work it out
I think you should give it a miss though. You could never appreciate such a movie. It's not Gorshin friendly
Why is that?
You're having a laugh right? Yea sure you are. You can't really be asking me that question after all that's been said so far today between you and me?
Let's just say that 'your kind' (athough if there's more of you in the world please just shoot me now...lol) won't think much of it...after all, I bought it...must be crappola
JAMES...you need to tone it down and stop rising to whatever bait you are detecting.
And there was me thinking I had the fishing line...Sneaky fish nowadays
I'll leave this fish for somebody else to fry mr Mod sir. Seems there's more than a few members with pan in hand and I'm not greedy
I'll go back to the river bank and be a spectator again
if you like the film the 2 disc set's the best option there is. If you don't go in for extreme gore/low logic "spaghetti" horror movies from the good old days with badly dubbed (if you watch the english dub that is, but who'd want to watch anything else?????) american accents, then this won't be for you.
It really is a classic. Right at the centre of the video-nasty debacle and still unavailable uncut in the uk. It's not Fulci's best movie (his The Beyond is my favourite horror flick of all time ) but it delivers the ketchup in abundance and kickstarted the Itallian zombie movie trend that lasted a while through the early 80's. It's well loved, it's infamous, it's notorious, it's beautifully shot, has some great unsettling images and, oh yeah, a ridiculous splinter in a rubber eyeball
It's quality. You'll probably hate it.
i can not believe people who like films, never mind that it's a horror, have never heard of it. it's only comes second to the all time great Zombie film that is the great DAWN!!!!!!!!!
By the way is there any news that a region 2 SE will come out??
Hi, Any suggestions where I can pick up a region 1 The Beyond on
Anchor Bay. I can get it from Amazon for about £17 but thats too pricey.
www.dvdboxoffice.com still seem to be able to get the AB double pack of The Beyond/House By The Cemetery. I got mine from there not too long ago... (this year, anyhoo) - CAN$38.95.
CD universe still have a listing for it, although it's been on backorder since March, according to their site:
Did you look at this Amazon listing?
If I had realised there was a double pack The Beyond/House by the Cemetery
I would of got it.....I never realised. I've recently ordered House by the Cemetery from Amazon.co.uk Thanks for the links you provided...just checked them out, Amazon.com want $60, www.cduniverse.com is far more interesting ....$15, but whats with the back order since 20/03/05...that was ages ago! Any idea why the dvd is so pricey anyway...availability?
It looks like it's been deleted - the double pack certainly has, anyhoo.
It doesn't look like CdUniverse will be able to get stock - I'd try the double pack from DvdBoxOffice or used from Amazon Marketplaces.
Why is it other Lucio Fulci - anchor bay dvds like City of the Living Dead, House by the Cemetery are much cheaper....whilst the price of The Beyond is spiralling away like the price of oil....Amazon are now asking £26.99!!! Are there people out there who know something I ought to know? Or is it simply a case of availability and there aren't many copies of The Beyond around!!!
It's just been deleted and the others haven't - Amazon Marketplace sellers are the first ones who stick their prices up astronomically when this happens.
