not sure but there is an Iscan ultra in clasifieds for £300 excellent bit of kit for the money or LumagenDVI at £800 which is where proper scaler stuff starts (price wise)

The Zinwell briteview 2000 has been dis continued in this country...the Iscan Ultra is a de-interlacer, not really a scaler as such...

However, as Horny points out, you can't go wrong with a Lumagen. Gordon@convergantav is the sole UK distributor for these in and is a regular on theses forums.

That can happen if you chose component as the input, when you are really using s-video or composite (the source one and source 2 on the remote).

i have found out that if i connect to the plasma(from zinwell 2000 dvi to LG-RZpx11) via dvi and use rbg signal from the zinwell, i get a picture, although not as good as rgb vga, but if i flick the switch to YPbPr, the picture has a pink colour all over it. the pic underneath looks quite smooth in 720 50hz mode.
    anybody any suggestions to why

pink is due to the DVi not supporting YPbPr (may need setup changing or might not be compatible at all)

That's because the Zinwell won't pass a component signal correctly via DVI or VGA...iof you want to use component, you need to connect a component cable and set the plasma input to component...(providing your using a panasonic Plasma that is...haven't read the whole thread...)

    Careful!!!
I have now had my Zinwell 2000 DVI for a while. The picture is actually better on my plasma without the Zinwell! I have wasted my money. Try before you buy.
