    Hi All.
What a great and helpfull forum. Il be reading for some time now and the information here is Top class.

I need some advise please. This question maybe asked lots of times before but I cant find anything so please please help if you can.( and i apologise for my englease.)

I purchase a LG RZ 42PX11 42" plasma tv. I have also purchase a Zinwell bright view to improve the PQ.
    Now all my units are:
    Lg plasma tv
    Zinwell bright view
    Sky +
    Sony DVD player.

Please can someone explain me in plain englease what is the best way to conect all this units together for the best PQ please have in mind that I am not very good with all this jargon stuff .

I have attached a picture of the rear of the plasma and a rundown of the inputs/outputs bellow.

    1. REMOTE CONTROL
    2. RS-232C INPUT(CONTROL/SERVICE) PORT
Connect to the RS-232C port on a PC.
    3. DVI INPUT / AUDIO INPUT / RGB INPUT
Connect the monitor output socket of the PERSONAL COMPUTER
    to this socket.
Note: If you want to use RGB/DVI audio, we strongly recommend
that you use the cable that has a core, or the EMI Fillter
    core along with separete cable.
    4. COMPONENT INPUT
Connect DVD video outputs to Y, PB, PR of COMPONENT
INPUT and audio outputs to Audio sockets of AUDIO INPUT.
    AUDIO/VIDEO IN SOCKETS (AV4)
Connect the audio/video out sockets of external equipment to
    these sockets.
    S-VIDEO/AUDIO IN SOCKETS
Connect the S-VIDEO out socket of an VCR to the S-VIDEO
    socket.
Connect the audio out sockets of the VCR to the audio sockets
    as in AV4.
    5. ANTENNA INPUT
    6. EURO SCART SOCKET
Connect the euro scart socket of the VCR to these sockets.
    7. POWER CORD SOCKET
This Monitor operates on an AC power. The voltage is indicated
on the Specifications page. Never attempt to operate
    the Monitor on DC power.
    8. AUDIO/VIDEO IN SOCKETS (AV5)
    S-VIDEO/AUDIO IN SOCKETS

    Thanks in advance.

I don't have much experience with the Zinwell products but a quick glance at the user manual and I'd suggest:

Brite-View HD15 (VGA) out to Plasma YUV Component video In - you'll require an HD15 to 3RCA cable.

    SKY+ - S-Video Out to S-Video In on Brite-View.

DVD - I'd require make and model number before I can advise.

    Best regards

    Joe

Joe thanks for your reply and for your great help.

So that unit will convert from S-Video input to component output?
That will be great. Do you know maybe where I can find such a cable?

The Dvd player is a sony dvp-s336 with one RGB and S-Video output.
I was thinking to conected direct to the plasma with RGB Scart.

    Thanks

SKY+ - you could go direct to the Plasma with RGB(SCART) to RGB(SCART); or if you had a way to switch multiple S-Video Inputs (AV Receiver?) you could take S-Video out of SKY+ and again run it via the Brite-View.

Possibly once you have the Brite-View attached to the Plasma you can experiment with RGB direct or S-Video via the Brite-View for the SKY+ signal.

Brite-View to plasma - myself and others on the Forums can supply the cable you require.

    Best regards

    Joe
