    Hi all
I am trying to get the best picture set up i can from my LG Plasma/NTL CABLE/dvd and was going to invest in a zinwell bright view. But does it really improve the picture to the extent that it is worth the investment. Any comments recommends most welcome

Hard to say - if you've got the LG with 'XD Engine', that has a lot of the same functionality. Can't say I've compared the performance of the two.

    Hi There.
First post here so be nice to me

I have the LG rz42px11 plasma for around 2 months now, and I have sky+ conected via a Zinwell Bright View> The diffrence with out it is black and white. Disconecting the bright view from the plasma the picture quality is terrible compare to when the bright view is conected. IMHO the bright view is the best investmend for this plasma.
Sky PQ with the bright view is very very good, when is conected with good quality cables. Disconect the zinwell brght view and the PQ is really blocky even with good quality cables.

So in my opinion the bright view is a great investment for low budget plasmas like the LG.
It cost me £230.00 from av-sales. Is one on ebay now brand new for sale for £150.00.That's bargain in my opinion.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi,

I use just a Ixos 611 scart on my LG's AV1 with excellent results.

Can't justify the cost to get a box that may make it slightly better!

    Cheers.

they can upscale the resolution (in the case of a scaler ie move 576i to 1080i.... also deintelcae so go from 576i to 576p and some do both (iscan ultra) Plasma will do the same but in the case of some the external box is a better signal processor than the screen...
