Zelda bug? Spoiler alert!

Hi
After completing the Death Mountain dungeon, I headed for Lanayru Province, crossed the bridge where I had that dual, the bridge collapsed and 3 shadow creatures appeared. I then saved the game, but when I came back to play it I was in Hyrule Field on the South side of the bridge with no way to cross. Is this a bug or is there another way across? I am 12 hours in, this is my only save and I don't want to start again!

Good job i read this, im just coming up to that point ( need to get the bombs, then ill be on that way)

I wish i could help, can you warp to a place over the bridge?
