Zavvi Preorder of vanquish still has not arrived

Hi,

I would like to know if anyone else has had problems with the pre-ordering of vanquish from Zavvi. Mine never arrived to this day, and I still get emails saying there is a problem at the warehouse or some other excuse. Yet they took my money on the 20th of last month, which I have asked for a refund but that never seems to come.

Can I trust that this site isn't fraudulent and will eventually return my money or the game?

Has anyone else had these kind of problems with this site?

I've have had a game go missing which i ordered from them, contacted them via their website, they were really helpful. I'd suggest you do the same, and they either sort it, or they cancel the order, and give you a refund so you can buy it elsewhere. Send them a message tomorrow morning, and you'll get a response the same day.

As I said in my post I have been in touch both by phone and email. It's been a month since they charged me and two weeks since I got in touch and I neither have the game or the refund as promised. I've been waiting two weeks for the refund and it has not materialised. When I call they just make something up and say to wait another 3-5 working days. It's bad enough they admit they didn't send the game, so it's not as if its gone missing in the post.

Apparently they had a mix up with their new system and also when they did have it, it was damaged so they didn't send it out.

Think it might be time to give them a call and kick up a bit of a fuss then, or ask to speak to a manager, as thats not acceptable.

Either that or call them and get the address for their Customer Relations Dept (Complaints) and write to them, I'm sure you'll get a resolution that way and possible some compensation for the inconvenience.

Although i've not had a problem like this before, i should imagine its frustrating knowing they're sitting on your money, but now you've got a problem, they're not forthcoming with any help!

Worst comes to worst & Zavvi doesn't refund the money, contact your credit card company/bank & tell them.
Since you have emails from Zavvi saying they will refund you, & they obviously haven't, it should be simple to get your credit card company/bank to refund you :smashin:

Thanks, I have been in touch with them but it's going to take 14 days to resolve. I can't believe I've had to do it. If they haven't sent the good they shouldn't of charged me. Furthermore, they could of resolved it by sending another copy promptly or refunding the money. The are either fraudsters or incompetent, not sure which is worse.

I think incompetent given the amount of time involved!

Usually when something goes missing in the post, then Royal Mail aren't interested until a certain amount of days (~14 or so) has passed, in case the item "turns up". At that point the retailer should submit a compensation claim to Royal Mail and then either refund you or send another item.

If Zavvi keep playing silly then as hippo99 suggests just set your credit card company onto them! The credit card company should refund you (once you've sent them some proof) and will then hassle Zavvi for the money.

I completely agree. The thing is, the item even hasn't gone missing, by their own admission they haven't posted it.

At first they tell me it's a mix up with their new system and it has been posted, even though I receive various emails informing me of the contrary. Then they admit it hasn't been posted, so I ask for a refund and when they don't return my money in a week and a half I call them and they tell me they were going to post it but it was damaged so they didn't and that's why I haven't got my refund.

Still no money, no game. They shouldn't be allowed to charge you if they don't ship and if there is a problem they should of voided the transaction. I hope Visa give them a telling off. These practices are not on!

And no sooner do I write about the process a CD from Play has not shown up in the 3-5 days delivery window, and so I have to wait 21 days(!) from the original dispatch before they'll think about a refund or sending another CD. Oh well, at least it's not GT5 that's got "lost"...
