Zappiti closed their Support forum

I have been regularly checking the English Zappiti support forum at Base de connaissances – Idées et suggestions pour Zappiti however as of a few days ago that now redirects to the Zappiti User Voice forum Base de connaissances – Idées et suggestions pour Zappiti which is useless for support issues since it only handles requests for features.

Since I use the Zappiti frontend for my Dune Smart as well as their iPad application it now has escalated to finding an alternative solution since I don't trust Zappiti to continue supporting their paid for products. Any suggestions would be helpful, I tried yaDis but don't like their handling of TV shows.

Is their a way to integrate the Dune into a KODI solution?

Thanks
O2G

I have a Dune Smart B1 with the Zappiti Media Center 2.8.15 as well as their iPad app. I also have dropped any idea of purchasing a Zappiti product.

Thanks for the info on KODI. There is one other possible way of using the Dune player and that is using something like Media Browser (EMBY) and pass a command line parameter to an external player which would be the Dune. In another forum someone has this running with some python script doing the passing of it to the Dune.

However before I go that route I will use Zappiti as long as possible or change to another jukebox software, but that is very iffy since lots of work is involved.

Let's be honest, that forum was always useless for support issues. I think there was only one chap who was actually there to answer questions at the start, and I expect he/she got fed up of all the abuse aimed at Zappiti. I always used to go to MPC Club instead when it was still there. I am entitled to moan because I paid for the iPad app:smashin:.

Yes I know about 10Muse and it is one of the alternatives because some of my Dune user friends are liking it. The way of handling TV Shows by YaDIS & 10Muse using banners rather then posters would require from me to create them for each TV show and some of them are custom. Not to my liking. Anyhow as long as the Zappiti Media Center is authenticated with their servers I am OK.
