Just for a test try centreing the image, ie. eliminate your lens shift, does that make a difference?
Hmmm .. wonder if the type of signal you're feeding affects it. Don't see how but when clutching at straws.. does using a different input make any difference? How about unplugging the input entirely, does the KA work then? If not and you've centred the lens I have no idea and may suspect a faulty machine in lieu of any other explanation.
