Cycling from a mates house along the main road yesterday, minding my own business, when a nova car with two youths in drives past. As they get just about along side, the passenger fires an air-horn at me. Strangely enough, it didnt phase me at all, and i could see the disappointment in his face as he leaned out of the window, looking back at me. All i could think to do at the time was mime a mouthful back at him.

It got me thinking afterwards, how easily they could have caused someone like myself, to fall off the bike, into the road, and possibly into the path of the next vehicle. Shame i wasent quick thinking enough to get the number.

what a wonderful country we now live in

It’s good that you ignored them, I don’t know whether I would have done the same.

Its youths out of cars that usually try it on as i"m driving about. I"m a driving instructor and on a couple of the estates I go on when we are sticking to a 20 mph limit we are subjected to groups of youths who slowly walk across the road in front of us causing the pupil to slow down ( well most of the time ).
Spitting on the floor usually acompanies the swagger.
Very rare a person on his own will do it just when in a group.
Reactions from pupils vary from feeling intimidated to wanting to get out and chin them.
Oh forgot to mention they all look alike almost like clones.Baseball hat shell suit slim built.

Youths in Honda Civic Type R's get my goat. This car already has a decent exhaust system yet 'yoofs' still stick on a £300 Titanium back box that does nothing for the performance yet manages to make the whole of St. Ives (Cambs) reverbarate to the sound of a cow farting into a bullhorn...

    There I've said it....

Are you sure that they're youths as it sounds more like a pack of hyenas to me.

I second that. This country is a joke and is rapidly becoming the first major nation to regress to a third world country.

It's not just youths. My wife had a lorry driver hammering on her side window and screaming at her yesterday because he felt she had cut him up.I just happened to be in the car ahead of the two of them and had watched my wife overtake on a long straight as I was waiting at the traffic lights ahead. When I got out to take his number because I couldn't see it in my mirror he had a go at me too!of course ,at this point he didn't even know it was my wife he was frightening.Reported him to his employers, but unfortunately no other witnesses.

I know what you mean, I go to St. Ives (Cambs) quite a lot as my other half lives there. It's a strange place that looks rustic but is loaded with cars racing between there and Huntingdon.

They couldn't keep up with me in the Vectra though. :)

I remember about 10 years ago - I'd been on a 30 odd mile bike ride up beside the river tyne (towards wylam etc) and I was riding back along some roughs parts of newcastle (south benwell!) and these charvas drove past in a car, one of the threw an half eaten apple at me, luckily it missed, I was gonna shout something at them, but I was too knackered!

He'd probably have you masssacred with the other 5 million kulaks.

Isn't it weird how history doesn't look back at him with the same disdain we do hitler?
