Right behind you!!!
OK, so you're making a personal compilation CD of your most favourite songs in the world, with a limit of 20 tracks! These are THE songs in your life, the ones that give you chills up and down your body, make your hairs stand on end, give you goosebumps and make you beam or cry with pure emotion with their true brilliance and genius. Yep, that damn good!

What's gonna go on yours?

Mine - Pointon's Goosebump Compilation:

1. Pearl Jam - Given To Fly
2. Radiohead - Creep
3. Blur - End Of A Century
4. Longpigs - On and On
5. Nirvana - Lounge Act
6. Muse - Hyper Music
7. Keith Caputo - Dew Drop Magic
8. Simon and Garfunkel - Mrs. Robinson
9. REM - Losing My Religion
10. Queen & David Bowie - Under Pressure
11. Led Zeppelin - Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You
12. Rage Against The Machine - Know Your Enemy
13. Rival Schools - So Down On
14. At The Drive-in - Cosmonaut
15. Sevendust - Born To Die
16. Vision Of Disorder - By The River
17. Life Of Agony - Lost At 22
18. Pearl Jam - Alive

All that brilliance sandwhiched by Pearl Jam. 'Alive' has to be my most favourite song ever! I burned this to disc and I'll be making copies to give to all my friends!

OK, yes... this is kind of thinly disguised as your favourite ever songs... but have we actually done that?

Some tweaking to do and some to add but here is mine

1. Long After Tonight Is All Over – Jimmy Radcliffe
2. Still – Commodores
3. Could It Be I’m Falling In Love – Detroit Spinners
4. Layla – Derek And The Dominoes
5. Do It Again – Steely Dan
6. Showdown – Electric Light Orchestra
7. Women Of Ireland – Bob James
8. My Love Is Like Red, Red Rose – Izzy
9. Come Get To This – Marvin Gaye
10. I Will Always Love You – Linda Ronstadt
11. Wishing Well – Free
12. Lady Eleanor – Lindisfarne
13. Backstabbers – O’Jays
14. Harden My Heart – Quarterflash
15. Walk In The Night – Jr Walker And The All Stars
16. I’ll Do Any Thing – Doris Troy
17. Just Be Good to Me - SOS Band

First draft (a little bare as half of them are already on Pointon's list - bitch):

1. Rival Schools - Travel by Telphone
2. Incubus - Azwethinkweiz
3. Peter Gabriel - Washing of the Water
4. Rage Against the Machine - Know Your Enemy (I don't care mate, I've gotta have this one)
5. Foo Fighters - My Hero
6. The Police - Message in a Bottle
7. Tool - The Grudge

1. Orbital - Out there somewhere?
2. Pavement - The hexx

16. The Stooges - Raw Power
17. Led Zeppelin - The rover
18. Neil Young - Tell me why
19. CSN - Helplessly hoping
20. Big Star - Thirteen

I've picked my favourite bands and then chosen one of my favourite songs of theirs, and perhaps the most obvious ones sprang to mind, so this list would obviously be subject to serious revision if I actually had my CD collection to hand at the moment.

Throw in my 2 cents (I do believe however that "perfect" compilations are seperated by genre so this one is loosely themed)

1) Chemical Brothers- Morning Lemon
2) Cassius- The Sound of Violence
3) Death In Vegas- 23 Lies
4) Prodigy- Voodoo People
5) Juno Reactor- Conga Fury
6) Massive Attack with Mos Def- I against I
7) Les Rhythmes Digitals- Soft Machine
8) Fluke- Absurd
9) Fliter- Take my Picture (Hybrid Remix)
10) Goldfrapp- Scrict Machine
11) Propellerheads- Spybreak
12) Bomb The Bass- Megablast
13) Overseer- Supermoves
14) Lo Fi Allstars- Battleflag
15) Dust Brothers- This is your Life

Of course my "analogue" compilation would be totally different

Just the whole of Meat Puppets II would suffice. Theres lots I would probably miss, but I wouldnt want to be without the entire pups album.

Here Goes:

The Yeah Yeah Yeah's - Pin
Tool - Eulogy
Incubus - Glass
RHCP - Californication
CKY - Premiscuos Daughter
RATM - Renegades of Funk
Tool - Stink Fist
Incubus - Pardon Me
At The drive in - Sleepwalk Capsules
Mars Volta - Roulette Dares
Bodycount - BKK Bitch
Tool - H.
Incubus - Make yourself

Not in that order, but thats what would be on it. plus a couple more incubus and tool tracks probably.

You can't do this...it's impossible. I'm raising a white flag as I type.
