Your Thoughts: Samsung LN37A530/LN37A550 vs. Sony KDL-40S4100

I'm about to spend way too much money on something I don't really need, so I thought I might ask some individuals who have a better idea about these things. I don't want to spend more than 1300 after taxes, looking at 37-42" range, for SD, xbox 360 with HDMI, lots of dvds, possible HD streaming or blu-ray come a price drop. I intend to keep this TV for a while.

I've kind of narrowed it down to sony/samsung, the "5 series" and the new sony entry level 1080p KDL-40S4100. Please let me know if you think these are good, and which you would prefer. The sony looks to be the only one I saw in that arena (for that brand), but if you would like to recommend another samsung, please do so.

Thanks for reading, and your input.

Jake
