Your most exhilarating movie scene.

Opening scene from Top Gun......F15s launching off the Ship........magic.....

Matrix........helicopter scene...."hes beginning to believe"
and the bit in the entrance to the building.

Bit in Blade Runner Dying scene " if you people had seen .....

Shawshank redemption....when Morgan Freeman is walking towards the tree.

George Clooney running over the car in the peacemaker

Ohhh and that scene in Bound ...you know the one

Matrix scene where they enter the building at the end. Boy do I want this in DTS badly.

Fast and the Furious race scene near the beginning with Ja Rule in DTS.

Battle Royale where the group of girls are unsure who poisoned the soup and start to shoot each other, all out mayhem again in DTS.

Fight club with that amazing sound, (Is it THX). Mainly due to the fact that the amount of people who dismissed this film half way through and will never realise how revolutionary and amazing this film is due mainly to the ideas and thoughts which is provokes and the twist at the end, (NO NOT CHUBBY CHECKER).

Audition last 20 mins.

South Park movie with Terence and Philip in the cinema farting.

:clown: <--- John Wayne Gacey

Just had to add T1 in the Tech Noir nightclub slo mo bit where arni looks around and Linda ducks and the end bit " theres a storm coming in".

Just thinking about this one on the way home yesterday. In Dirty Harry, when Scorpio has hi-jacked the school bus and he see's from a distance Harry standing on the bridge, superb the epitomy of cool.

The Warriors.

When they think the Baseball Fury's have stopped chasing them . . . they look back up the hill, and you see the first of them coming, face paint, music, the lot. Always gets me

eh...I think some of you actually need to look up the word exhilirating.....jeez.

"I liked the bit where the dog went woof" - yeah..right....thanks...made me shoot my load.

wow so many but for me, it's gotta be

True Romance, when Dennis Hopper is about to get wacked.

Top gun, when Mav goes I WANT VIPER !:D

Casino, Head vice bit.. eeeek

American History X.. The guy chewing the kerb bit..

Heat the shootout in downtown LA

Pulp Fiction, When Bruce goes back to his flat, knowing someone maybe there.

Das Boot, When they get depth charged many times over

Titanic, when she goes down

Carlito's Way, when he's walking the streets just as he gets out.

Blimey I'd better stop this list could go on and on

:)

..... watched it late last night, sorry.....thought it was just a cardie.......bit drunk by the end......in truth, pretty near Legolas.

I only read most of this so excuse me if anyone has already suggested these:
The opening part of Barbarella where Jane Fonda gets her togs off.

The scene in Crossroads with Steve Vai in it as the devil's own guitar slinger (Did you know Steve Vai was born on the 6/6/1966 - talk about born to play the role)

(I know this isn't a film but..)
The last episode of Little House on the Prairy where they blow the town up. It made me cry my eyes out for about a week!!!

The first 30 minutes of Full Metal Jacket are rather stunning.

The opening to Austin Powers 2 is awesome.

Scarface - "Say hello to my little friend!"

Not sure my last one is Exhilerating but the scene in Braindead where the chap eats the woman's ear from the custard has put me off Apple Crumble forever. (anyone know if this is out on DVD yet - guess it will be with LOTR rings now out - if so is it uncut?)

Richard.

Final swordfight in Highlander

Blade's entrance in the first Blade film

Jodie May's slow-mo suicide in Last Of The Mohicans

The credits of LOTR as I couldn't wait to get out of the cinema after that long overated pap

Just before the final fight scene in Blade where blade is fighting some henchmen and he spots his sword sticking out the wall it then cuts to him posing with his sword while the bad guys behind him are disintegrating.
It was the first DVD I ever bought so it had to be a scene from this movie.

five years old, this thread...thought i would put in the final fight in KUNG FU HUSTLE (great film)

First one to come to mind is is the scene in Dracula when Peter Cushing as Doctor Van Helsing, runs down the long table, and jumps on the curtains, then uses two candle sticks as a cross to kill Christopher Lee as Count Dracula.

Seconded!

And, regarding The Keep, does anyone know why this has never appeared on DVD?

'Nam Russian Roulette scene in Deerhunter!

One of the most powerfull scenes ever!

Plus like someone else said, I have a soft spot for the Luke & 2 suns scene in Star Wars Ep IV.

WOW!! This place was like the Wild West 5 years ago! Look at some of the comments on the first 2 pages and the amount of bans issued. Great Stuff

It's between 2 very different films but from the same source; great direction.

ET - When the 'light' comes on.

The Shining - Wendy looks at the typewriter.
