Looks as good as PGR3 no better no worse. PS3 gonna need to do a lot better than that to make me think of investing in one :)

You know these were edited through PS7, so they look better then the none edited GT4 photomode shots.

    Some nice pics there.

Does anybody else think that the models in GT4 are just as good as PGR3 minus the fully blown interior? I like them, Polyphony have used some nice pastel shades that make them seem more realy.

They just look more natural I guess!

Hell yes. GT4 stands up incredibly well to PGR3, and I think the car models are even better. The car physics are also far, far better.

It is known that the Polyphony team is made up of car fanatics. This is obvious in the GT games, and the amount of detail that goes into each one.

The PS2 does have one good thing over the 360, it does not crash from software bugs or hardware bugs as much.

They do look really nice, but if like most other recent Sony game images ive seen for PS2 and PS3 they are all pre rendered and not in game so time will tell. I recon the ingame will be not quite as nice as those stills

Mainly all of the PS2 games that were first showen were in game. And the only PS3 game that was pre-rendered was KillZone II. Which was a pre-render of what the PS3 should be able to do in terms of game graphics a year or 2, after it comes out mate.

Some nice photos here guys, and I love GT4, but you cant really compare graphics to PGR3, as PGR3 photomode uses ingame graphics and just adds an extra 2x aa and depth of field and is therefore much more representetive of the actual game. Cant wait for Gt5 though :)

I dont care what GT5 looks like as long as it still has 22 cars per race in it like the press shots.

On a side note - I think Vision GT & GT5 will be seperate games. Its been said somehwhere that Vision GT will use the GT4 graphics engine but includes extra's like full pit crews & 22 cars most likely a PS3 launch title. GT5 will follow a bit later and then we'll get the new graphics.

This hasnt been confirmed by Sony but it stands to reason as all the shots of V GT dont look much different from GT4 - and only 2 cars have been confirmed as being included in GT5 so far - (RX-8 & Evo 9).

that last pic really stunned me the first time I saw it - I didnt realise Polyphony had accurately modelled all the divisions inside the rear light cluster. :smashin:

Ahhh, the power of a little black box. PlayStation2 is so much better than people give it credit for. As long as the developers bother it can produce stunning results.

Some really nice shots there guys :smashin: I borrowed a workmates copy a while ago, put a few laps around Nurbergring etc, thought it looked and handled great, but the racing didnt really grab me. My biggest complaint about GT games; the AI and racing hasnt really improved since the first PS1 game (which i completed fully). Still this almost makes me want to borrow it again, and as said, fantastic this game on the "last gen" PS2.

Much better Renquist, also chips229 your shots are too blurry on some parts of the shots. While being big and jagged.

Put them in a thumbnails buddy, also The Gimp is a good peice of free software. Which should allow you to resize your pics.
