What are you’re viewing plans for the comimg weekend? The Easter holiday is fantastic for watching movie marathons or a favourite trilogy etc.

I’m hoping that the Captain America 4K UHD Boxset turns up by, or during the weekend. That will really get me in the MCU mood before the big Avenger’s Endgame weekend next week. If not, I’ll have to get my superhero fix by having my first viewing of Venom. I bought the UHD for £12.50 in HMV on Saturday.

Before that though, I’ve got a double bill of The 'Burbs and Fright Night (the original of course) planned for Thursday night. They make a great two parter of 1980s suburban paranoia of the terror next door comedy-horror movies.

I’ve got a tradition of watching certain movies at specific times of the year. Obviously, Christmas films in December and Horror films in October. Also, I watch the Ghostbusters films on New Years Day and I tend to watch the big multi-film franchises like Star Wars or the Alien saga over August/September.

My Easter movie tradition is So, I Married An Axe Murderer. I don’t how the Mike Myers comedy thriller became my go to film for Easter, but I watch it every year at the same time and crack up and enjoy it just as much as the many previous times I’ve seen it.

I know that a lot of people like to watch a classic big Hollywood biblical, or Roman era, blockbuster like Ben-Hur or The Fall Of The Roman Empire at this time of year too.

So, what are you watching this Easter?

I always think of Spartacus as being an Easter movie,
must be the crucifixions at the end.
