    Our family has had sky multiroom in our house for almost a year (this april) and we want to disconnect the wire that connects to the phone line. At the moment we have an anoying telephone lead that runs across the landing with several people a day alomost tripping up on it so you can see why we want to get rid of it.

    Are we allowed to do this after a year? As my father seems to think not because theres nothing stoping us taking the multiroom box to a mates house.

    Can anybody clear this up for me?

    Sky can be so anoying sometimes

    I dont think you can on multiroom. If your paying £10 a month for the extra digibox it needs to be connected to the phone line or they will eventualy charge you with the full subscription

    I'm sure this was discussed recently, try a thread search.

    I think you'll find you are only obligated to keep the phone line connected for 12 months in Sky's T & C's. After that you can do what you want. Please don't hold me to that! Confirm it with the thread search or wait for a definte answer on this thread.

    OR, Simply ring Sky :thumbsup:

    The multiroom T & Cs are different, you have to have both boxes connected to the phone line forever. If you don't Sky will eventually catch on and charge you full price for the second subscription.

    Damm Sky, just read the t&c's it says the telephone line must be connected for a min of 12 months then be permently connected there after;

    Whats the point of having a min time for it being connected? it should just say leav connected forever.

    SKY ARE DIVS!!!

    Because it implies the minimum contract period of 12 months. You could cancel the contract after 14 months and disconnect the phone line immediately, but you are tied to a minimum 12 month contract.
