    This DVD player is connected to SCART 1 with a Dolby Digital co-axial connection for surround sound. The SCART cable is fully connected (although I will be changing to RGB only shortly :) )

    Watching films is great - absolutely no problems at all. However, watching the additional feature material is causing the TV to switch to another source and then back again to SCART #1. It does this once or twice a minute, and each switch takes a couple of seconds.

    The DVD player is not modified in any way, it's brand new too. I've tried it on another TV (a 4:3 portable) and there don't appear to be any switching or screen blanking problems although this is hardly conclusive.

    I have 3 DVD's and all exhibit the problem:

    Making The Matrix (R2, The Matrix);
    Directors Commentary (R2, Gladiator)
    TiVo Demo DVD

    Is it the DVD player at fault or a problem with the TV set? It seems as if SCART #1 is losing control and then reasserting pin 8 (if that makes any sense!) I've only had this happen in the additional material on DVDs - the main movies are fine, 2 hours+ without the source switching once. :confused:

    As you'll see from other posts, I'm getting similar problem (only far worse on some DVD's, Casino for example is totally un-watchable).

    Problem only seems to become apparent when you switch the DVD output to RGB. Can you confirm this is true for your set-up ?

    As it looks like the problem is with the NS900 and not my TV as first thought, I've started a new forum thread under the DVD Players and Recorders section to try and get some more input. Please can you post your findings there.

    Have just done so - this thread (and mine) may as well be closed.

    New thread in DVD is here.
