    After initially being tempted by the styling and ease of use of the 42" Viera with floor stand I've now convinced myself that the 42PWD6 wallmounted is the better option. I just want to make sure I'm going to order the right stuff and ask a few questions before I take the plunge.

    First of all the kit I have;

    Pioneer 565a DVD player (UK spec so no prog scan)
    Pace SKY+
    Xbox
    PS2
    Panasonic NV-HD675 VCR
    Sony STRV555ES amp
    Kef 2005.1 Speaker set up

    I think I need to purchase a Quintro Scart switcher and JS RGB to VGA converter. This way I can connect all 5 devices to the Quintro --> JS --> Plasma VGA and only have 2 cables (inc power) going to the Plasma. Is this correct? If I do it this way what would people recommend as the terminal board of choice if I ordered from AV-Land considering the next likely purchase (not for a while though) would be a Prog Scan enabled DVD player (possibly HDMI / DVI-D enabled if the price is right.)??

    If I use the above connection method I assume that I won't be able to use PIP or POP on the screen as I will only have one source as far as the plasma is concerned - this would be a shame as it's something I use regularly on my current tv (Panasonic TX36PF10). I also understand that aspect ration switching will be lost if I use the VGA connection only - right?

    Finally how will the PQ compare to my current TV , especially for feeds from the Sky+ box and the VCR as a tuner?

    Sorry for all the questions but I like to buy knowing all the facts!

    they usually come with a SCART board
    so wack the second scart from your Sky+ into that (or the second Quintro o/p)
    then you can play all the PIP games you like

    How many scart outputs does the Qunitro have then - I assume I'll have to daisy chain one of the inputs (probably put the PS2 thru the Sky+) so that I have to outputs from the Quintro. I suppose it's only 1 extra cable up to the plasma. I didn't know the PW6 came with a scart as standard though.

    Cheers pjclark1 - thanks for the input.

    Are the rest of my assumptions correct (aspect ration switching etc?)

    Anyone got an opinion on this panel compared to my current CRT TV?
