Hello Thanks for reading ive just got a Projector for free (SKIP RAT!)

    it the Philips LC4433

it works fine apart from the menu screen has a yellow tinge to it and i got the computer and a DVD player working fine but again theres a yellow tinge just of center about the size of a football. (i can try for a photo if u want to see)

i know the project will need repairing or somet buying and am prepared to do it i just need to know what parts faulty.

the bulb has been on for 2400 hours like could it be that

    Thank ppl

Sounds like it might be the blue polarizer. I think they're pretty cheap to get replaced, if you find the right people to do it.

Far out thought here, but I wonder, could a yellow tinge be caused if the projector has been subjected to smokers smoke over a long period? I've seen that effect on the glass of my conservatory.... problem is how do you clean the optics of a PJ?
