The second is from the Kevin McCarthy Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Presumably the first is from the remake, being in color.

The answer was correct; the first one was from the original but was coloured for some reason. This was my final clue but you got it before then.

For a bonus point, does anyone know which early 60s TV series the actress in the middle of the picture (the right hand one) appeared in (looking very different to her appearance here)?

Is it Carolyn Jones?

she played several episodes of batman as Marsha

I knew them. Honest.
Was just called out to save the world again Charlie.
Charlie got the film right. Blimey I thought that was a hard one from the picture.
Has any one seen the episode in Stargate called Foothold, the monsters worked in a similar fashion i.e. the victims had to be attached to a machine for them to look like humans, lightning gave them away, and disconnecting also killed them.

This was the films monster

Try this and I will give you a clue: when one of the heroes saved the other hero’s life, the second one jokingly said he would sue him. ( he probable would mean it today).
