What classic Sci-Fi film is this from?
Heres an other clue:
The second is from the Kevin McCarthy Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Presumably the first is from the remake, being in color.
The answer was correct; the first one was from the original but was coloured for some reason. This was my final clue but you got it before then.
I Married A Monster From Outer Space??
No, actually that's her mother!
For a bonus point, does anyone know which early 60s TV series the actress in the middle of the picture (the right hand one) appeared in (looking very different to her appearance here)?
Am I right in thinking that she used to send her husband into a frenzy by speaking French?
Is it Carolyn Jones?
she played several episodes of batman as Marsha
Oui! C'est vrai.
Blimey what happened there Garrett?? I was just about to reply and there it was gone! Spooooooky!!
I knew them. Honest.
Was just called out to save the world again Charlie.
Charlie got the film right. Blimey I thought that was a hard one from the picture.
Has any one seen the episode in Stargate called Foothold, the monsters worked in a similar fashion i.e. the victims had to be attached to a machine for them to look like humans, lightning gave them away, and disconnecting also killed them.
This was the films monster
Try this and I will give you a clue: when one of the heroes saved the other heros life, the second one jokingly said he would sue him. ( he probable would mean it today).
He's in Farscape isn't he?
Who! The monster that got married?
It's Island of Terror (1966)
Is that Uncle Eric on the right then???
You don't see enough people wearing hats these days, do you??
Thats Peter one of my best mates.
I wear hats sometimes. You want to see me on a hot summers day with my light sports coat and panama.
Thor you are right the film was Island Of Terror. But can anyone tell me the name of the monsters.?
Whats this from.
It's Invaders from Mars (1953)
Don't go over that hill by the fence, or else!
They are Silicates
They must drink milk because they like their calcium
Took my mates arm as well.
Perhaps they are what Humphreys were.
You lot are good. Yes you are right on the film.
As to the monsters you are right agian.
Last one for today, me thinks.
What film was this a poster for:
It's The Day the Earth Caught Fire (1961)
Edward Judd in this film was also in Island of Terror
I never liked this film very much, dont know why.
If it is, that's a mightily misleading poster.
Thor I liked them both the last was very good.
Bert here is the full poster.
Right, who knows what this film is then? It has not been on for years, so it may be hard.
Yeah, seeing as the Twin Towers were finished about 10 years after the film was made. They could have picked a better picture.
Separate names with a comma.
