I have finaly got my Yammy A2 and iv'e got a problem with it allready!... my DVD (LG 2330p) has only got coaxial digital out so i have plugged this into the DVD RF digital input on the A2. no sound is output at all and the amp can not 'see' the connection. if i plug it into the CD RF in it works just fine switching to DD. what am i doing wrong??

    Cheers

The RF input is for Laserdiscs only, and wouldn't work with your DVD player. Rest assured, you are quite correct in hooking up your DVD player via the CD coax input.

    Taz,
I've ad a few beers but I think the Yam plays through an optical input so your player is no good for your amp(unless it also oputputs optical) if this is correct I'm sorry.

There is one feature which may help you if you want to use the A2 for video switching.

If you connect the video source to the DVD input and the coaxial digital audio to the CD input you can have the video from the DVD input on the monitor output at the same time as hearing the audio from the DVD (via the CD input). I don't have the manual in front of me but I am fairly sure that you select the DVD input from the remote control and then select CD input which still leaves the video from DVD selected.

Taz, is your new toy good fun then?
Big sound compared to the old, weedy Sherwood?
