Posted a while ago about "ticking" through my KEF eggs from a Yammy 620.
Well have finally got the back of the cabinet off and done some tests. Basically happens on all channels and doesn't matter whats connected and whats not - therefore I assumed amp is "problem".

PLayed further and found ONLY get this effect when using "effect" modes. i.e. with effect off sound is perfect, when switched on (any effect) I get this ticking (sounds a bit like a CD spinning and cathing something).

Anyway question is - is amp or processing ciruitry stuffed? I have Richer sounds 3 year warranty/cash back option so I do send for repair or chop in and get a 750?

    :lease:

    Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a fault in the DSP section.

Can't help you though with the question if you want it repaired or replaced ...

I had a similar fault on my 620, it was when I got better and more demanding speaker. Changed to a 2500 and problem solved, never had the problem on my cheaper on my cheaper yamaha speaker set.

    Ok

    The decision as..........

    I bought a 757 (couldn't get a 750).

Veyr very pleased. All I wanted was to fix the "ticking" which it did admirably - but pleasantly suprided by the better performance and "definition" of sound. Wasn't expecting that as thought there wouldn't be hige difference between 620 and 757 0 or maybe the YPAO did a better job that I had manually!
