    Hi

The Yamakawa 365 can output 1080i in component mode

Could someone try this - output to a projector - and see what the picture quality is like please?

To an AE300 would be great

This picture should theoretically give the best one possible if you read what they are saying over at the avs forum

It should beat the denons and panasonics that only do normal 576 progressive

And component output at this resolution may look the same as DVI connection

    Thanks alot

I couldn't tell you about component or a projector, but on my screen through DVI the picture appears to be best but on slow pans it jerks so I leave mine on 720p.

That's correct - the 1080i is output in 60hz. Fine when playing a R1 disc, but very noticeable jerks when panning on R2 discs.
    I speak from experience BTW...

    Thanks for that

The jerkyness is not wanted. Have to discover a DVD player that is smooth at this rate

The Zenith in the USA seems to be ok but is only a USA product
