Hi.

Sorry to bore everyone with yet another sub review but after looking up and down I've been offered the Yamaha ystsw800 Sub.
Any users on the Yamaha ystsw800 Sub?

    Any views greatly appreciated.

It's reviewed in the October issue of What HiFi. They were unable to fault it and gave it 5 stars.

I have one on order from an internet company in Germany who are supplying it in cherry (not available in the UK) for £350 delivered.

What's the Company website? I've been looking for a new sub.

Just how good is this sub ?
Saw the What Hi-FI review and yes it gives it five stars but its such a small review it does not really say much about it ?
How low does it go ? will it perform better than my q100 ? is it worth the money ?

There's more technical information here http://www.yamaha.co.jp/english/product/av/pdfs/moreinfo/yst_sw800.pdf although it's unclear whether the power rating of 800W is RMS or not.

Call me naive but I've bought it on the basis of the What Hi-Fi review alone so I can't really give you any more information than is available on the internet or in this months what Hi-Fi. Personally, I wouldn't upgrade to one from a REL Q100. I'd either get a second Q100 or a better REL.

Simon, do you have to pay duty and VAT on receipt of the goods?
