    Hi to all
    This is my first post.
I found AV Forums whilst searching the net for info on the Yamaha YST-SW1500. I have spent quite some time in the subwoofer forum and have been pleasantly surprised at the depth and quality of the posts. Can't find any comments on the Yamaha though. The only review I could find on the net was by HIFI Choice which gave it a "Best Buy," but there was some reservation on the bottom end being quoted at 16Hz. @ -10dB. I agree with that as if low dB.figures are quoted then what is the frequency response at more realistic levels. I wonder what the frequency is at the -3dB. half-power point. Sorry, I am waffling on already. However I like the remote with this amp which can store three full programs and tweak volume,High Cut, phase, and movie/music select etc. all from a comfortable listening position.
I currently have a Sony, Tannoy RSUB15 and a home built sub using a Peerless 12" version of the speaker used in the XLS200.
So any comments on the above will be most appreciated.

    Many Thanks

As you have probably gathered, not many people here have Yamaha subs but you might get some more useful responses, welcome to the forums.

How much are you looking at paying for one?

    Hi Pollywoggle
Yes I have deduced that the lack of info on Yamaha subs does indicate that they could
be thin on the ground for, of course, a variety of reasons

    Hi Dfour
Limit is around £600, but I may well develop my Peerless, and we all have to deal with the WAF
