There is a high cut and low cut filter switch on the back of the sub.Could someone please tell me what it is, and what does it do .Please keep it basic talk as the manual was all tech talk and didn`t understand it at all.
thank u all.

This refers to the crossover (Hi pass , Low pass filter) of the subwoofer. Some subwoofers have a dial so that you can tailor the frequency you what the subwoofer to cut in (typically between 150-40hz)

However, you have a switch (2 positions)
IIRC in Hi - the crossover is engaged at around 110hz
In Low- its engaged at approx 60hz

hope this helps
