yamaha yht-294 as multi-room

I want to use he receiver to send musicto more than one room. I have wireless speakers, but how do i get sound out of the 5.1 ports in one room and through a second output source4 simultaneously? If I plug the phono jacks for the second speakers into audio out, there is no sound.

Any help, please.

Welcome to the forum. YHT-294 is the model number for the package as a whole. What is the model number of the AV Receiver? It wouldn't surprise me if it didn't have multi-room. What wireless speakers do you have? Links, model numbers, online manuals etc. would help.

Edit - The model number of the AV Receiver is the VSX-367.

The Audio Out will only work with analogue sources, so if you have anything connected via HDMI or optical etc. you won't hear these via the Audio Out. You would need to additionally connect up an analogue cable to the inputs to hear audio via this connection.

Thanks for the answer, I was using HDMI inputs. I'll try and connect by analogue as well.
