considering getting a sub to go with my tannoy's - will only be used for films so dont want to spend much

seen the yamaha YSTFSW100 for £100 - is this going to be a disaster? seems like most people reckon a half decent sub is going to cost £300 upwards. otherwise i'll just keep scanning ebay for a £300 sub that's dropped within my window! :D

I have never heard this sub but cheap subs are normally not a good idea. After a few days you will wish you had waited and saved the money that you spent for something more worthwhile. Obviously depends on what your expectations are but to be honest I would buy something second hand that originally cost a bit more. Look out for a bargain in the classifieds, you will be glad that you did.

ok will do - thanks for the advice :)

(subs don't have their own little patch in the speakers for sale section here do they, i can't find it if they do!)

yep you're right - think i'll keep on the look-out for a KEF / REL / monitor audio that's come under £100
