Anybody know, I'm guessing 12 months.

I bought an rx v2500 in november 2005 and it has decided to play silly buggers.

Went to turn it on, went straight back to standyby. according to the manual, its the protection system operating. I unplugged all the speaker connections from the back and it still wont turn on.

I managed to get it running for a wee while by changing the impedance setting to 6 Ohms, but now its turning off again.

Any ideas, anyone??

I hope so Badger:rolleyes:

This is the first expensive (for me anyway) home cinema amp I've had, and the only one I've had fail.

There is a pro logic marantz amp that used to belong to me many moons ago still working flawlessly in a friends garage.

Been doing a bit of digging on old t'inters and it would appear that its quite a common problem....

Definitely 2 years mate, I just checked Yams site.
I bought a Yam around the same time and I'm fairly sure it had 2 years on it, so hopefully you'll be ok :smashin:

Thanks badger, just rang global hi-fi and they confirmed that:thumbsup:

Going in today, will get sent off and returned...... some time soon.

Global hi-fi could not have been more helpful if they tried:clap:

Its being sent off tomorrow, they have promised to keep me informed at all times, and if there is any problem, promised to 'sort something out'

So far, so good.
