I am looking for a home cinema amp/receiver and a set of speakers for under £500. I can pick this pair up for approx £380 which seems pretty good (Amp £220, speakers £160). Will these work well together? Would I be better going for the Mordaunt Short Premiere Plus speaker set?
Will this also be any good for music as well as movies?

    Any advice gratefully received!!

welcome to the forums!, I have a yammy rxv740 which i am using with the tannoys at the moment ( upgrading time :D ) which sounds awesome with movies but with music it is all down to your taste in music , I quite like the sound from the tannoys in multi channel mode but they can seem a little harsh , so I prefer to use my kef q50s for stereo, and most of all dont forget the amp is primarily for movies. hope this helps.
