Anyone give me some feedback on a Yamaha RXV450?
I'll want to use both surround 6.1 and stereo.
    Cheers,

    Jon

Just got the 450 this week - I think for the price you can't beat this little amp.

had the 450 for about 6 months now.
i must say the yamaha sounds very good when used with a good digital coaxial cable in both 2 ch stereo and in HT mode.
very highly recommended for the price.

I've recently upgraded to this model and it's excellent for all digital output, although I only use it in a 5.1 speaker set-up.

Not so sure about stereo though. For stereo conversions by DTS NEO and Prologic11X it's brilliant but if I you want to use it for true hi-fi stereo you might find it a bit disappointing. The Yamaha effects don't do any favours for music and the direct stereo output is not as good as my old stereo amp.

But if like me music is a secondary feature then you will not be disappointed overall. For the price I doubt if it can be bettered.
