Anyone know why my Yamaha 2500 seems to of lost my Surround Speakers

When i goto Manual set the surround speakers are set to NONE and i cant change them

It was working when i first bought it as i set it to 2 X Small

On AUTO setup it plays the test sounds through the 2 surround rear channels so that shows there connected fine

But as there turned off in manual Setup i assume that means they are not gona be used

    Thanks in advance

Are you sure your not getting confused with rear back?
As a 5.1 should have the rears plugged into rear left and right and not rear back left and right.

    Otherwise check connection?

Do you have the presence speakes on, as the rears can not be turned on when the presence speakers are enabled.

    Regards

When you do the automatic setup you remember to save it?

Yep after i did AUTO setup i made a few changes in manual setup and saved

Do you reckon it will of saved the rear surround settings and it wont matter if the Manual setup says NONE?

I guess the only way to tell is get a 6.1 DVD and try it

Run the autosetup again save the settings, maybe the factory set was without surrounds and you didn't save the autosetup. Thats the only thing i can think.
