    Hi all,

I'm a bit of a newbie with this Receiver, so I've got a little problem with it that I can't seem to sort out.
I can't seem to get much sound coming out of it.
At present I've connected two Eltax Liberty 120w floor standing speakers to it, along with kenwood cd player so I can test it. But for some reason I have to turn the volume up to the max before I can really hear anything.

I've tested the speakers on an old receiver that I already have and they work fine, so its something that I'm doing wrong with the yamaha.
I've even checked the impedence level in case it was set wrong for the speakers, but on both settings I have to turn the volume up to the max to hear anything.

Anyone got any ideas? I'm stuck!! :lease:
