Yamaha RX-V771 vs RX-A810

Thanks to help from these forums, I have decided on buying a Yamaha Amp in the New Year to upgrade my exiting Sony, and to match with my Kef iQ speakers.

The RX-A810 is currently £850, but some retailers are offering vouchers which brings it down to about £780.

The RX-V771 is currently £650, so a little cheaper.

I have compared the specs of each and they look pretty identical, so I am a bit confused now as which one to get.

Is the RX-A810 in a league above the RX-V771, so would produce better sound quality. Or.. what's the difference?

Okay, I think I've worked it out.

The RX-V771 is the top-end of the entry level range.
The A810 is the bottom end of the high end range.

I guess in terms of audio quality, the A810 should outperform the RX-V771?
