    Hi all,

I have just put my Yamaha RX-V671 on my home network and am happily streaming internet radio, which is great. However, I am also setting up a universal remote app on my iPhone, which communicates with all my components via IP. When I put the RX-V671 into standby the Ethernet port shuts down and therefore the unit cannot be switched on via IP. Is there a mode to leave the Ethernet on whilst in standby to overcome this problem?

    Thanks,
    Jim

I have just answered my own question. It is possible to keep the amp's Ethernet active in standby mode. Just point a web browser at the amp's IP address and select 'Network Standby' and then 'On'. This keeps the Ethernet switched on and allows the amp to be powered up from standby via IP. I haven't found a way of configuring it through the on screen menus.
