    been looking at this receiver, i have some DynAudio 52`s what do you guys think of the yamaha and dynaudio combi or any comments just on the amp would be appreciated

    Going to be hard as no one has heard it yet and most of us probably havent even seen the specks.

    I would recommend looking at the 1400/1500/1600 from Germany as they will have more power to drive the Dynaudios over the 657 or even 757.

    looked at the 1400 and thats seems to fit what im after, any places you recommend getting one from? had a quick look around and they dont seem easy to come by

    You can get the 1400 and 1500 from here, and both are shown as being in stock. They also offer a cash on delivery service.

    You may be able to find the both of these cheaper if you look at some of the sites/price search engines listed in Wasabi's
    thread.

    still looking around, has anyone heard the Pioneer VSX-1014/2014? i seen them in avland for £499 and £549. im after a allround amp for music and movies.

    PIoneers reputation is more for movie action than music subtly's. Is there anywhere by you that you can go and get a couple of demo's from of various amps as that IS the only real way of knowing, listening to the amp

    thx for the tips i got a Yamaha RX-V1500 it arrived yesterday and from what ive seen/heard its just what i wanted :)

    Superb :D I hope you enjoy it the more you play with it. One thing I would recomend though is you :rtfm: at least twice :eek:

    manual... its as thick as the phone book :D
    anyway im sitting here reading it now.. so many options to play with :)

    does the 1500 have a fan as it does seem to get rather warm?
