Sorry if this is dumb, but my Yamaha Receiver allows me to set both positive and negative delay values for my center and surround channels...

So if I select a +10ms is that 10 ms of delay, or does that mean the signal is actually advanced?

Likewise if I se -10ms, is that delay or (sorry about this) negative delay, meaning advance over the fronts output?

I am almost too ashamed to ask, but this seems confusing to my small brain!

The manual does not refer to this directly, merely suggesting amounts of delay to use.

Help me before I explode (or is that implode?!)
